Boiling Springs State Park: What You Need to Know
Have you been to Boiling Springs State Park in Oklahoma? It’s located 6 miles Northeast of Woodward, Oklahoma, and is within 45 minutes of Alabaster Caverns State Park. The Boiling Springs State Park is around 820 acres and is an oasis for nature lovers on the plains. The park was one of seven original state parks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, and it still contains many beautiful features today! It’s just one of the many cool state parks in the Sooner State.

The springs itself is located near the park office. Once you get to the park office, there are a set of stairs that you will go down leading to a covered patio. Here you will find the springs. Boiling Springs is actually a small springs and you aren’t able to touch it as they have it blocked off. From there, you can hike on the river trail.
As of early 2026, Oklahoma State Parks generally charge $10 per day ($8 for Oklahoma residents) for parking, or $75 for an annual pass ($60 for Oklahoma residents). 1 free parking pass is included with overnight lodging or camping reservations.
Parking Pass reminder:
All Oklahoma citizens who are 62 or older or are Veterans are eligible for a free yearly Parking Pass.
The yearly pass is valid in all Oklahoma State Parks and is valid for one year from the date of registration. You have to register with your local park office to receive your parking pass. If you don’t, you take a chance of receiving a parking fee notice.
The park office has several nice Oklahoma State Park t-shirts, and there is plenty of information about birding that you can pick up.
Mobile Usage: We have T-Mobile and had 2 bars, so mobile service was available but poor. I was still able to work on my laptop some. It was just a little slower than home.
