While the Gaylord Texan boasted an array of captivating activities, we opted for the Hilton DFW Lakes as our home away from home during our Grapevine adventure. Situated conveniently close to everything, this charming hotel offered us a perfect blend of accessibility and comfort. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, the Hilton DFW Lakes provided a tranquil retreat after our exhilarating days exploring Grapevine’s Christmas magic. With its spacious rooms offering picturesque views, an inviting atmosphere, and top-notch amenities, including a refreshing pool and delectable dining options, our stay was nothing short of delightful. Eager to maximize our spa day, we arrived early to immerse ourselves in the therapeutic embrace of the wet and dry saunas, unwinding in the soothing heat before our treatments. As the skilled hands of the spa therapists worked their magic, tension melted away, and the aromatic scents of the holiday-infused foot scrub heightened our sense of relaxation. It was a pampering session that embraced the spirit of the season, leaving us refreshed, rejuvenated, and fully immersed in the joyous ambiance of the holidays.
Dinner at Texas Star Dinner Theater:
ourselves engrossed in the captivating Dinner at Texas Star Dinner Theater: “Unseasonable Greedings.” This Western Holiday murder mystery dinner promised an evening filled with suspense, laughter, and a tantalizing quest to uncover the culprit behind the dastardly deed. As we enjoyed the savory delights of the mouthwatering chicken fried steak, the characters weaved a tale of mystery and intrigue, inviting us to join in the investigation. With our group’s collective wit and deductive prowess, we successfully unraveled the mystery, correctly identifying the elusive murderer. The show itself was an immersive experience, blending humor and suspense seamlessly, keeping us engaged from start to finish. It was an evening where delicious food harmonized with the thrill of solving a holiday-themed murder mystery, leaving us thoroughly entertained and brimming with satisfaction.
Meow Wolf at Grapevine Mills Mall
Embarking on a journey through the extraordinary realms of creativity and imagination, our visit to Meow Wolf’s The Real Unreal at Grapevine Mills Mall was an exhilarating and awe-inspiring experience. As newcomers to the Meow Wolf universe, we were immediately captivated by the immersive and transformative nature of this interactive artscape. Witnessing an ordinary family’s encounter with the extraordinary, we were drawn into a mesmerizing narrative that celebrated the essence of chosen families, community, and the boundless power of imagination. North Pole Express
midst the festive atmosphere of downtown Grapevine, an unmissable experience awaits aboard the North Pole Express at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Offering a magical journey for all ages, this enchanting train ride is a cherished highlight of the holiday season. Embarking on this nostalgic adventure, passengers are transported to the whimsical world of the North Pole, complete with the sights and sounds of Christmas. The train’s vintage charm, coupled with joyful caroling, storytelling, and the chance to meet Santa Claus himself, creates an unforgettable excursion. Once you get disembark the train , you can walk through the Christmas tree forest, full of magical surprises. Each car has it’s own set of actors! $40 per person and $6 for children who have not yet celebrated their first birthday.
The North Pole Express will run November 24 – December 23. Excursions begin at 3:10 p.m., 4:40 p.m.. 6:10 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. most weekdays, with additional weekend excursions starting at 10:40 a.m., 12:10 p.m. and 1:40 p.m.
