Terza Restaurant – We had such a lovely dinner at Terza Ristorante this evening! Daniel enjoyed the gnocchi, I went with the ravioli, and Ryan treated himself to the steak. Every dish was incredible. Terza is known for their hand-crafted pasta made by an Italian chef using his grandmother’s “mother sauce”—and you can taste the tradition and love in every bite. For those craving Italian comfort food, Terza delivers a warm, upscale dining experience with fresh, handcrafted pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and a robust wine list. It’s the kind of place where every dish feels thoughtfully made. The cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for date night or a family dinner. This was definitely a meal to remember in Rochester!

Los Arcos Kitchen and Cantina – This Mexican restaurant was a pleasant surprise during our stay. Daniel and I both ordered the Pick 2 combo—he chose the enchilada and taco while I went with the enchilada and flauta. Both were flavorful and well-prepared. Instead of serving the traditional cheese sauce with salsa, Los Arcos pairs salsa with a bean dip, which was delicious and unique. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience enjoyable. We would definitely eat here again.

Ootori Sushi – This is a hidden gem for sushi lovers. The menu features creative rolls, sashimi, and Japanese-inspired entrees. The fish tastes fresh and clean, and the presentation is beautiful, making it a great choice for those who appreciate both flavor and artistry.

Fat Willy’s – A family-friendly spot with a mix of burgers, sandwiches, and hearty comfort food. The casual vibe, large portions, and approachable menu make it an easy go-to for groups or anyone looking for a laid-back meal. Daniel went bold with the Hatch Chile Smash Burger. The flame-roasted hatch chile salsa gives it a kick. I couldn’t resist the Fat Willy’s Burger. Their flagship burger is stacked with garlic butter, provolone, and applewood-smoked bacon.

Chip Shots – More than just a sports bar, Chip Shots combines classic American food with entertainment. With indoor golf simulators, games, and plenty of TVs, it’s a fun place to grab a bite, hang out, and keep the whole family entertained.

John Hardy’s BBQ – A Rochester legend since the 1970s, this spot serves up authentic Southern-style barbecue with tender ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Their signature sauces bring the perfect kick, and it’s the kind of food that feels like home. We’re from Oklahoma, so we are used to a sweeter tomato-based BBQ sauce, but if you love a vinegar-based BBQ, then you will love this place. Daniel

Jersey Jo’s – Known for bringing East Coast flavor to Minnesota, Jersey Jo’s offers one of the best Philly cheesesteaks outside of Philadelphia. With fresh bread and generous portions, it’s a local favorite for anyone who loves hearty sandwiches. On the way home from the hospital, Daniel and I realized we hadn’t eaten. Jersey Jo’s was literally right by the hospital, so we stopped in. They’re known for their cheesesteaks, and now I know why! Daniel and I each ordered a 6-inch cheesesteak with onion rings to share. The food was so good and so filling that we couldn’t even finish it.

ThaiPop – A colorful and creative restaurant that blends traditional Thai flavors with a modern twist. From curries to noodle dishes, every bite bursts with flavor, and the décor gives the place a fun, energetic vibe.

Snappy Stop – This drive-through-only spot is a Rochester institution. Known for its quick service and tasty burgers, it’s the perfect option when you’re short on time but still want a local favorite.
