Lunch at Cedar & Sage
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Cedar & Sage Grill House Restaurant inside the Oneida Hotel in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and I couldn’t be more impressed! Known for changing their menu 2-3 times a year, they offer an exciting variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring there’s always something new to try. For lunch, I indulged in their spicy crispy chicken sandwich, which was absolutely delicious! We also savored the Three Sisters dip and the cheese curds, both of which were exceptional.
One fascinating aspect of Cedar & Sage is their dedication to local traditions and sustainable practices. I learned about “The Three Sisters” method of planting, where corn, beans, and squash are grown together on one mound. The corn grows tall, serving as a pole for the beans to climb, while the beans enrich the soil with nitrogen. Meanwhile, the squash spreads across the ground, preventing weeds and retaining moisture in the soil. If you’re in Green Bay, I highly recommend a visit to Cedar & Sage to experience their innovative dishes and learn about their commitment to sustainability and local culture.
