Creating Memories And Traditions At Gulf County Florida!

Sharing is caring!

Gulf County Florida

It’s Fall and my mind is turning to family traditions and creating memories.  Along with cool, crisp weather Fall brings with it a sense of adventure and exploring.  We always take time to visit the pumpkin patch, bake pumpkin everything, put up the decorations in the house to add some fall-ness inside and of course we take walks and go hiking while soaking in the beautiful colored leaves and cooler weather.  But this year, my mind is also on vacation. And before the weather gets too cold to do anything, I would want to go somewhere that we can spend lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather and exploring and learning together. Let’s check out Gulf County Florida.

Gulf County Florida is an ideal place for families to make memories because they have so many fun things to do!  It would be hard to choose just a few (options truly are endless!) but if I were to take my family to go to Gulf County Florida I would for sure want to take them horseback riding on the beach, on a sunset cruise to see the Dolphins, and of course we would take time to relax and explore each beach that we possibly could!  Every one of these adventures could easily turn into family traditions that would last for years to come.  And hopefully they would be passed on to the next generation!

Fishing is one of the most popular activities in Gulf County and with good reason. The county has been named the “Winner of the Saltwater Grand Slam” by Florida Sportsman Magazine and is home to some of the best charter fishing guides in the state. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just getting started, charter fishing is a great way to enjoy a day on the water and have a chance at reeling in a big one. Redfish, trout, flounder and grouper are just some of the species you can expect to catch when charter fishing in Gulf County.

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is located on a peninsula that juts out into St. Joseph Bay providing visitors with over fifteen miles of white sand beaches and nearly nine thousand acres of coastal marshes teeming with wildlife. The park also offers primitive camping for those who want to spend more than a day enjoying all that it has to offer. Hiking trails wind through dunes covered in sea oats and give visitors stunning views of both the bay and the gulf. With its sugar white beaches, emerald green waters and abundant wildlife, St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is truly a slice of paradise.

Gulf County is also known for its loggerhead turtle population. These turtles lay their eggs on the beaches of Gulf County between May and October. If you’re interested in seeing these turtles up close, there are many different turtle tours available.

Located on the Northwest side of Gulf county, this area is a paddlers paradise with over 30 miles of slow-moving waterways through some of the most unspoiled natural habitats in the state of Florida. You can find alligators, eagles, ospreys, herons and even dolphins swimming in these waters. There are several outfitters in the area that will provide you with everything you need for a day on the river including kayaks, stand up paddle boards, life jackets and paddles.

Gulf County Adventure Guide gives you the opportunity to take that much-needed vacation to relax and unwind but there are also plenty of things to do if you want to fill your time with fun and adventures!  Make the time you have with your family unforgettable and you’ll find the memories creating themselves.
