Red Roof Inn Tupelo ~ Dog Friendly Hotel

Sharing is caring!

See Why We Love Red Roof Inn Tupelo ~ Dog Friendly Hotel!

Red Roof Inn

On a recent trip from Oklahoma to Georgia, we stopped in Tupelo, Mississippi.  We had a lot of great things to share about the Red Roof Inn!

One of the best parts it that it is pet friendly.  If you are headed that direction, check out the amenities we loved.

Travel through Tupelo:

It can be a challenge to find a pet friendly hotel. I was so excited to even see it advertised on their marquis that this was one!  We have two small dogs, and they stay with us as we travel.

We chose Tupelo for it’s central location between Oklahoma and the southeastern states (Alabama/Georgia).

If you time it right, you can head out of Oklahoma City and make it Memphis around dinner time, which is a great option for trying some of the local cuisine!

Drive further east to wind down the day in Tupelo, leaving a shorter drive into Georgia or Alabama the next morning.

Red Roof Inn Tupelo Details:

Red Roof Inn is a nice option if you are trying to keep to a budget, but are aware of some of the issues that can come up with budget hotels.

There are certain hotel chains we avoid. Unfortunately everyone has a few bad travel stories to share!

We felt like Red Roof Inn Tupelo was clean and secure.  I liked the fun pet travel tips displayed. 🙂

I have to say for the price-point, this hotel had a lot of updates including the flat screen TV on the wall and wood flooring.  That just gives a clean feel to any hotel room!

Our restroom was clean, roomy and had a full bath, rather than the old-style half bath with a sink outside the door.

One thing we look for with any hotel is a complementary breakfast! If you have followed the blog for a while, you know this is a big travel savings.

In the end, eating out is a huge travel expense.  Any time you can get away with making your own meals or eating a free breakfast at the hotel, go for it.

Often it’s better for us just to spend a few extra dollars on a hotel with breakfast, rather than choose the budget hotel we will be hurrying out of to go spend $20-$30 on a breakfast and tip!

Red Roof Inn Redi-Rewards:
